A Walk Down Memory Lane

Aunt Betty had a delicious brunch fixed for us when we arrived.  Faith and I reminisced with our cousins Matt, Ty, Chuck and Dan about our Grammy and Grampy and family gatherings at their home.  Uncle Bob gave Len and Gene a tour of his workshop where he makes violins.  We said our good-byes and made our way to Freetown.

When we arrived at the Museum, we were delighted to see replica buildings from our childhood.  Sharrock's Grocery Store was where Faith and I would go to pick up items for Mom.  Mr. Sharrock would use the long tongs to get items from the top shelves.  There was also a replica of Mason Corner School.  Our Mom and Aunt Marion went to school there and many years later, Faith and I attended Brownie meetings there.       To make the day complete, we went to Boston Tavern in Middleboro so Faith and I could enjoy a meal of Fried Clam Rolls.  It had been a long, long time since we had been able to have this childhood treat and we relished  every bite!  Another great day with family and our memories.
