On The Homefront

I'm not sure if I stay busier traveling or at home. We have been fixing things around the house, new carpet has been installed in the bedroom (thanks to Jen and Carl), new bathtub faucet, hall light put in and security lights work once again.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Colby and LeeAnn's. We have so much for which to be thankful - family, homes, food and clothing. Let us never take any of these blessings for granted.

As usual, we ate until we were about to pop, "rested our bellies" per 4 yr. old Payten (their granddaughter) and then wedged in a little dessert. It was good to be able to spend time visiting and catching up on family news.

I have done some Christmas shopping and put up some decorations. I have learned in the past that the more I put up, the more I have to take down later, so I practice moderation. I am positive that when I was a child it was an eternity between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now it seems to go all too quickly, but it's a beautiful time of the year.

We haven't decided on which internet service to go with yet, so I make periodic trips to the library to check my emails, etc. Hence the irregular posting of my blog. I get 30 minutes a session, and those who know me well, understand that I don't come 25 words or less.

Until next time, God's blessings and our prayers to all of you.
